Crocs cowboy boots are now a thing

Would you wear these Croc boots?

Do you ever wonder why so many people don’t like high fashion? It is stuffy and pretentious, and a lot of times, it takes itself too seriously. People get wrapped up in the high part, and the fashion part becomes one of the things that keeps them from having any fun. Luckily for all of you, Crocs is a company that is less focused on the high (for many serious menswear lovers, less focused on the fashion as well) and committed to the fun with a new pair of Croc boots. This month is dubbed “Croctober,” and the divisive water shoe company is bringing the fun with none other than a cowboy boot.

Cowboy is back. Thanks to the explosion of Yellowstone combined with the more casual look of today’s modern man, men are reaching back to the days on the ranch to wear more rugged and function-focused looks. Of course, crocs aren’t exactly rugged, but they are definitely casual and function-focused, so the new look makes sense for the company to cash in on the fringe group of Croc fans who are ready to update their collection during the month of “Croctober.”

Can you pull off these Croc boots?

When it comes to flashy looks and out-of-the-box ideas for your look, the answer to whether you can pull them off is…absolutely. Now, before all of you Croc haters turn up your nose, many looks that are staples in your closet were snubbed when they first hit the market. You know that watch on your wrist? That was seen as feminine. They started as a woman’s item until they were adopted by pilots and soldiers in the early 20th century. So take a moment and consider exploring the possibility of adding Crocs to your collection.

While these boots sport the classic bottom of normal Crocs, they feature a western ankle shaft with a classic boot design, and the company name emblazoned across the top. Of course, you can’t have Crocs without the charms the company is known for. Two of the best charms this new boot provides are specific to the new product. The first is Duke, the brand’s beloved crocodile mascot, getting into the Western spirit by donning a stellar cowboy hat and doing his best John Dutton on the Yellowstone Ranch. Of course, no cowboy boot is complete without a spur, and the Croc cowboy boots feature a one-of-a-kind charm of a spinning spur on the back of the boot.

You may not be a rancher, you may not be a cowboy, but the Cowboy Croc is something worth exploring. Just remember that the point of fashion is not to get too high-minded about it. Fashion is about fun. Fashion is about self-expression. And finally, fashion shouldn’t be taken too seriously. If you are feeling squirrely this “Croctober,” the Croc boots with the spur are a statement.

Men's boots walking

Winter is nearly upon us, and that means we are frantically getting in the last few rays of sunshine. As we spend as much time as possible outside soaking up the final rays of fall, we can't forget to transition our wardrobes from autumn to winter, warm to cold, and light to heavy. While some of us still have a little bit of time before we see the snow and ice, the rains and falling leaves mean it is time to break out some of our favorite winter boots. That also means we have to prepare ourselves to work a little harder when it is time to put on our shoes.

While summer and fall are the time for slip-on shoes like sandals, loafers, and drivers, the winter doesn't lend itself to that very often. That is; unless you get creative and start looking for the best slip-on men's winter boots. Of course, as usual, there are tons of options for slip-on boots (many of them are classified as Chelsea boots), but we always have you covered, so our list of favorites is to follow. But first, we need to help you figure out how to prepare those boots for the winter.

How to be an adult: Things every grown-up should own
You don't have to get rid of your old stuff, but these additions will make you feel more grown up instantly
An adult man

One of the defining characteristics of the millennial generation is that it was a bit slow to grow into adulthood. The word “adulting” entered the lexicon to describe any circumstance where a young person was required to perform a typical grown-up task, and it was occurrences like this that made many people wonder whether young people would ever learn how to be an adult.

These days, it seems generally accepted that adulthood is less of an age than a lifestyle. It’s something that is attained by living a certain way and owning certain things. To that end, here are a few things that every grown-up should own.

The IWC Top Gun watch now comes in 2 more colors (and they’re stunning)
This watch is the perfect wingman
IWC Top Gun Blue

Two decades after Tom Cruise suited up and brought renown and recognition to the U.S. Navy's elite fighter pilot school in Top Gun, IWC watches became the first brand allowed to use the name of the exclusive school. The IWC Colors of Top Gun premiered in 2007. That may have been the beginning of the Top Gun watches, but the Swiss watch brand is not only known for its luxury watches; it's also known for its pilot watch specifically.

IWC spent decades perfecting the iconic timepieces of the skies, and the Top Gun collection continued and improved upon the tradition with some of the best men's watches designed for the "Need for Speed." Each one is a descendant of the double chronograph with the day/date features. They initially came in Oceana (blue), Jet Black, and Lake Tahoe (white). They are all ceramic-cased and monochromatic watches, giving you the sleekest look for your time in the cockpit (or watching Tom Cruise in the cockpit). These are some of the best watches for men, and now IWC is adding to the roster with two more colors to give you even more options to look great.
