End of Mayhem Mondays (temporarily)

We have cancelled the Mayhem Mondays at the current location.
In about a month, we will be re-launching another Mayhem Mondays with a different concept, in a different location.
That is all I'm telling you for now, other than that it has something to do with the launch of our new website www.amateurcanadianguys.com

New Nude Boy - Brian

Sunday Pride

Our Sunday Pride booth was AMAZING! Thanks to everyone who came out and bought DVDs, and also to the dozens of people who thought the Lounge was closed - many of them were our old customers from a year ago, and for different reasons, they thought we were closed. So we are hoping many of you return this coming weekend.
The 3 Israeli boys were HOT and did a great job handing out flyers, as did Marcos and Mitch.
Next year we'll do a booth again, but only on Sunday. Saturday was not busy enough to make it worthwhile.
Next festival is Folsom Fair North... so if you missed it this time, we'll see you again in a couple weeks.

Pride Day One

Today was great at our booth - Paul and Al were great hosts, as well as Chico. Handed out hundreds of scandalous flyers, i'm sure they are littered all over Church St.
Gotta get to sleep, back to it tomorrow, across from the Wellesley subway station, MUCH bigger day tomorrow.
Mitch is supposed to show up at 11am, so those of you who are big fans and are dying to meet him, TAKE YOUR CHANCES showing up between 11am and 1pm, because he is not always reliable. But when he shows up he is quite a fascinating young man to see in action.

NEW NUDE BOY / Pride 2005

It's late at night and I've got to get up early in the morning to set up our first Pride booth!
I will be on Church Street north of Isabella from 11am to 8pm on Saturday, and across from the Wellesley subway station, 3rd booth in, during the same hours on Sunday.

This is a quick update of tonight's activities :)

In the midst of all the pride preparations, our boy Paul calls and says he has a new "recruit", from his small town in Northern Ontario.

He described the boy as looking like Mitch, similar build, very masculine, hairy body.

They are in town for a couple days to make some money. So I went over to our photographer's condo and we shot a HOT fucking video. I will have the rough footage for tonight at the club. And both boys are definitely appearing tonight.

One of our customers bought 3 of our DVD's a few weeks ago, and sent me this review:

PS: Those three DVD's I bought from you a couple weeks back are so cool (as in hot).

Other side of the camera...

As we always say, "you never know what's going to happen at the Lounge".
So tonight, it turns out that a customer we shall call "Tony" has had a little crush on me for a long time. So Mandy suggests that we do an after hours video starring me and "Tony", who asked to be called "Customer #3" (he heard about last week's video starring Customer #1 and Customer #2, so I now see the trend - if you would like to be #4, #5, or #6, just let me know).
So we went to a nearby location, and shot the scene. Anyways, I can't say I'm as comfortable on the other side of the camera, but I went with the flow, and enjoyed myself.

Mandy

I have not mentioned the latest two Mandy Goodhandy videos we shot. Last Monday, Brad, who you remember as being the super-hot French Canadian boy who has done a video with Mitch, and a video with Marcos, showed up on Monday and got naked for the audience. One week...

One week until our 2 day Pride Booth extravaganza.... been working like crazy to get everything ready... Reminder - we will be on Church St north of Isabella on Saturday June 25th from 11am to 8pm, and on Sunday, same hours, we will be directly across from the Wellesley subway station, 3 booths in on the west side of the parking lot. We'll have about 20 titles available for purchase, very reasonable prices ($25 for 1, $45 for 2, $60 for 3).
If you haven't joined the mailing list yet, please do, because when our paysite goes live in August, everyone on the list will get a free one month trial membership. Hed: The party drug that kills

"Over the past several years, nearly every indicator of risky sexual activity has risen in the gay community. Perhaps for the first time since the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, the number of men who say they use condoms regularly is below 50%; after many years of decline, the number of new H.I.V. diagnoses among gay men increased every year between 2000 and 2003, while remaining stable in the rest of the population."

The passage above appeared in a recent New Yorker article about the devastating effect crystal methamphetamine is having on America's gay communities, particularly those in New York and San Francisco. The article has created a stir - for it has opened the eyes of millions of Americans to an epidemic that has largely gone unreported.

Crystal methamphetamine is not a new drug. It first gained popularity in San Francisco's gay scene in the late 1990s, and is now becoming common at gay night spots in large Canadian cities. Because the high from "crystal" lasts long, and the drug can be produced cheaply using legal ingredients such as drain cleaner, battery acid, lantern fuel and Sudafed, the drug is known as "poor man's cocaine." It also makes gay men engage in really stupid and risky sexual practices.

I'm 30, so safer sex practices were part of my education. In Grade 11, we were taught about H.I.V. At the time, there was no "cocktail" (the combination of medications that can now keep H.I.V.-positive people alive for decades), so contracting AIDS was then seen as a death sentence.

When I moved to Toronto, I gravitated toward bathhouses and parks, and anywhere anonymous encounters between men occurred. I liked the excitement, I liked the convenience. The freedom of being a young, attractive 20-year-old in a major city was intoxicating. I wasn't worried about the risks, because I was educated. I always played safe, and as far as I could tell, so did everybody else. In those days, condoms were always used. There was no discussion, it was just done. Unlike my 60-year-old friends who lost hundreds of their friends to AIDS, I thought my generation was going to be able to avoid becoming H.I.V.-positive.

Today, things are changing. For many reasons, perhaps one being the fact that H.I.V. medications have improved to the point where H.I.V. is often described as a "manageable disease," safer sex practices are going out of fashion in gay casual sex circles. Another reason is the introduction of crystal to the scene. In the last few years, I've been to bathhouses several dozen times. Crystal is everywhere. And in almost every encounter I had, the body language of my partners assumed there would be no condoms. When I brought the issue up, many guys left the room, saying they "only" have sex "raw."

It has gotten to the point where "to bareback" has become a verb. There are bareback Web sites, bareback chatrooms and a huge trend on gay Internet meeting spots towards a type of sex called "PnP" (Party and Play), which is an acronym that almost always translates to mean "sex while doing crystal meth." I bumped into a high school friend last summer. He told me he had become H.I.V.-positive because of crystal. He said it "made him do things he wouldn't normally do." Crystal sends people on an insatiable and obsessive quest for as much sex with as many people as possible, sometimes for days at a time, and almost always bareback.

I am not against all forms of drug use, and I am definitely not against promiscuity. Party drugs such as Ecstasy, Special K (ketamine), cocaine, amongst others, have their risks, but can sometimes be used in moderation without destroying one's life. But crystal methamphetamine is a different creature, one with a horrendous track record for causing severe addiction, permanent brain damage, paranoia and violence.

Covering the sex and cyberculture scene in the gay community for Toronto's fab magazine for the past few years has afforded me the opportunity to meet many crystal meth users. Most say they wish they'd never tried it. One referred to it as "Satan in powdered form." Statistics show crystal to be so addictive that only 6% of people in drug treatment programs succeed at kicking their crystal habit the first time.


While the gay community has had considerable success at getting publicity and support for same-sex marriage, we are less public about our uglier problems. A small anti-crystal meth movement has started within gay organizations, and on Internet message boards, but we must be more vigilant in promoting the dangers of this drug. We must realize that crystal meth is not just another party drug - but rather a gateway into a tragic health crisis in the gay community.

The Post is Canada's national newspaper (one of two), unfortunately the article is only available to subscribers online (www.nationalpost.com) so if you're not in Canada you can't just spend 75 cents at the corner store.
Let me know if you like the piece... I like the fact that the Post is considered a right-wing newspaper by most but they welcome a piece from a self-professed (and proud) pervert. I am so NOT right-wing, but I have always admired that paper. Sometimes you have to fight causes from within the "enemy". My editor Mitchel Raphael from fab magazine started at the Post when it began, and wrote articles about sex workers, trannies, cyber sex, body modification, drug use, and any other fringe culture topic you can think of. The Post was never sensational about it, they just let him do what he wanted.

A couple of you have asked that I let you know when Paul is going to be in town. Construction season is in effect in his small town 5 hours from Toronto, so he doesn't make it in as often.
I just got a phone call that he's already in Toronto, and he will definitely be appearing at the Lounge tonight. He hopes to be picking up Mathews, but that is not fully confirmed.

This is a glitch with Blogger - if anyone reading this is also a Blogger user and has a solution, please let me know. I had to manually re-create all links, which was a tedious and annoying task....
Anyways, the history is now reconstructed.

MAYHEM MONDAYS

After discussing things with Mandy, we have put our heads together and decided that we are renaming Monday nights "Mayhem Mondays".
The pressure of having contestants all the time for a nude model search / amateur night is unrealistic - last week we had tons of advertising in place, and no contestants showed up for our first night.

But Monday nights were always popular with the customers, and particularly with the boys, because some of the boys have other jobs on the weekends. And I've been told by lots of people there is not a hell of a lot to do in the GTA on Monday nights, so why not have nude boys and VIP dances available...

So we are going to keep open Monday and Saturday, and the only difference is that Monday you pay $5 cover, and we have doorprizes of free VIP dances and free DVD's.

There will be less of an emphasis on the stage shows Monday, we have a new format where the boy gets himself hard in the VIP booth (on video), then presents himself on boxes.

We will be videotaping the first box performance of each boy, which will provide you with more footage to watch the following week. Plus the boys are releasing their footage to Mayhem North, which means eventually we will be able to sell compilations of "Fluff videos", the footage of the boys alone in the VIP area getting hard.

I think Monday night will potentially be an amazing night, I thank the customers who came out last week, and hope that you'll still come even without an amateur contest.

And please know, we are trying to encourage amateurs to make their first appearance on Monday, but with boys, it's better to give them options, so in a best case scenario, EVERY night will be amateur night.

So as always, you never know what's going to happen at the Lounge....

A reason to come on Mondays... Chico

Chico is my friend, I almost think of him like a brother, so it is a bit twisted to talk about him this way, but guys, this dude is HOT. Smoking hot. Totally hot. And he's so unattainable that it makes him even more hot. Trust me, Mandy and I have suggested, coerced, attempted to force him to do VIP dances, or get naked on camera, or do all sorts of scandalous things. But he just doesn't want to. But he honestly likes our world. He is our regular shemale DJ / waiter during the week, and trust me, if someone can handle working with these girls (a real handful), he's got something special going on. Return of the Nude Newbies... My Take on Tonight

OK, so we did it, we re-opened our Monday nights at the Lounge tonight.
At the beginning of the night, I was terrified, because I wondered if we'd have any newbies. We had phoned tons of people we had numbers for, many of them unreliable, but we figured if we let a dozen or so boys know we were re-opening, we'd get at least a couple.
And 9 pm arrived, and no newbies. And 10pm, and still no newbies.
There was no shortage of our regular nude boys, they always liked to work on Mondays. Marcos, Latte, Rubin, and Mo all showed up.
And there was no shortage of customers, a healthy average group of guys wandered in.
But no newbies....
Mandy, never one to let people leave without entertainment, got our four regular guys to try out the new format that we are doing for the newbie nights. We decided that the guys would split the cash prize, and entertain the audience without doing a "competition" per se.
The format is interesting - what we do is this: We have set up one of the VIP areas with lights, a DVD player, a TV, a few DVD's of all sexual persuasions, some magazines, and placed a video camera on a tripod. Before the newbie starts the contest, he is left alone in the VIP booth for a few songs to "prepare" himself. Of course, the video camera is left running, so we can show our guests the "fluff" footage later.
When the newbie is announced, instead of going to the stage and "dancing", he goes to one of the boxes, right in the audience, fully hard, and fully naked, for one song.
Then he moves to the second box, and then the third box.
While he is on the boxes, the second contestant is fluffing himself in the VIP area, also on video.
Etc....
After all contestants have done the boxes, they are all called to the stage, again, fully nude, and this time they can dance if they want, they can sit and play with their cocks if they want, whatever, but it is the finale. Then the audience will decide the winner.
I think the format worked out fine with our regular guys, but still, there were no newbies, so I had to ponder things, and get realistic.
What I realized is this: I think we cannot possibly promise an amateur contest every Monday. The pressure is too unrealistic, sometimes we will not have amateurs. Sometimes we will have 1 amateur and a couple regular guys. Sometimes we will have a great contest.
But we will remain open on Mondays. Without the pressure of having a contest.
We realize that a lot of you enjoy the contest. Fuck, trust me, WE enjoy the contest more than you can imagine. And we will not give up our advertising and attempting to recruit for the contest. But know in advance, we are not always going to have a contest.
What we are providing on Monday is a cheaper night ($5 cover) with door prizes (DVD's and free VIP dances) and I'm sure we'll build our Monday clientele and I'm sure we'll always have at least 3 "nude boys" to entertain you in Mississauga.
The boys will have 2 days to work, which might help us get more boys, and as I said, when possible, we will have a contest.
Thanks to everyone who showed up tonight to support, and we'll see you this weekend or another time soon!

I just wanted to send an email saying thanks for having Monday night nubies again. It was too bad there weren't any of the customers brave enough to go on stage and strip. I was especially hoping to see the balding guy in the white t-shirt and jeans go up. When I seen you talking to him, I was hoping you were talking him into going up on stage. There were a couple of other guys that should have went up as well.

I will update the photos as soon as Mandy chooses them, but let me tell you, this weekend was amazing.
Mandy shot what I personally find to be our number 2 or 3 HOTTEST video scene of all time, starring Mathews and Marko.
